SM Racing will join the ZYN British Superbike Championship grid for the first time in 2026, signing Richard Kerr for their opening campaign, as the team announced their debut ahead of this week’s opening R&G Official Test at Donington Park (April 3/4).

The new SM Racing team led by Team Owner Sean Meighan will also feature a familiar partnership with AMD, long-time supporters of Kerr throughout his career including for much of his success in the Superstock series. The new team also features a collaboration with Chris Fairburn, whose team took the Honda Fireblade to a podium finish in 2024.   

Kerr had a challenging first season in the Superbike class last year, but is eager to get the season started after being reunited with Honda, the manufacturer he celebrated Superstock victory with in 2023.
