Team Biography

Moto Rapido Racing is owned by Steve Moore and the team are based at their Ducati dealership in Winchester. In fact, the race team mechanics work fulltime in the workshop during the week and when they are not preparing Tommy Bridewell’s Superbike, they are working on customer Ducatis!

Steve Moore has been closely involved in racing since 2003, before opening the dealership in 2005 and used to compete at club racing level before moving into team management. He reflected on when he stopped racing himself in 2007 by joking, “I used to race a Ducati and then I crashed and hurt myself, I lent the bike to my friend and he was faster, so I decided to jump behind the laptop instead!”

The team moved to national level racing in 2009 when Scott Smart joined them to race the Ducati 1198 in the Superstock 1000 class, before moving into the Superbike Evo class in 2011.

Bridewell joined the Winchester-based team midway through the 2018 season and since joining forces, together they have celebrated race wins and podiums, with their strongest finish in 2019, when they ended the season in third place in the title fight.

Bridewell’s returned to Moto Rapido Racing in 2022 followed the announcement that the team extended their title partnership agreement with Oxford Products after finishing runner-up in their best campaign to date, following up with a third place in the 2022 standings.

Christian Iddon then joined the team in 2023 and remained with the team for two seasons, having race winning and podium finishing performances and now 2018 champion Leon Haslam moves back to Ducati and joins the team for the first time.
