Biography

Peter Hickman is one of the most widely recognised riders in the ZYN British Superbike Championship, having competed within the series for the majority of his career, and has more race starts than any other rider on the grid.

Hickman began racing in Minimoto before competing in club level competition, he then entered the British Championship paddock in 2004, and instantly celebrated victory in the National Superstock 1000 Cup.

Making his ZYN British Superbike Championship debut in 2006, Hickman then moved back into the Pirelli National Superstock Championship in 2008, finishing third in the title fight.

In 2009 Hickman finished second place in the Superbike Cup class, before campaigning in the main Championship, where he secured a position in the Showdown three times, with a best finish of fourth place overall in 2017.

Hickman continued to be a podium contender in 2022 but had a tough season in 2023 before joining the FHO Racing BMW team for the 2024 season.

In 2025, Hickman joined forces with Davey Todd to create the 8TEN Racing Team and after an injury-hit season in the debut campaign, the Lincolnshire contender will be hoping for a stronger 2026.
