Biography

Andrew Irwin comes from a racing family, competing at home before lining up at both World and British Championship level already during his career.

Andrew Irwin is a race winner in the British Superbike Championship and first competed in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship in 2013, and in 2015, he ended the season in fourth place in the overall standings.

He then moved into the British Supersport class, finishing runner-up in the fight for the 2017 title, before moving to the Supersport World Championship a year later, joining PBM towards the end of the season when he made his BSB debut.

Irwin has now become a regular podium contender in the series, finishing in sixth place in the 2020 overall standings, however he had a tough 2023 season after sustaining an arm injury during testing at Knockhill.

In 2024, Irwin continued with the Honda Racing UK team and maintained his place alongside Tommy Bridewell in 2025, embarking on his fifth season with the team (2019-2020, 2023-2025).

Andrew Irwin joins MET fonaCAB Racing for the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship, a dynamic addition to the grid.

The team is built from a collaboration of two long-term partners of Andrew Irwin, MET and fonaCAB, who have joined forces, launching a new team lining up on the Ducati V4 R, the manufacturer who he made his debut in the championship with in 2018.

MET Healthcare specialises in healthcare engineering and construction, delivering complete solutions for modern healthcare facilities and fonaCAB is Belfast’s most experienced taxi company, providing a fast and reliable service.
