Skinner bags first Quattro Group British Supersport pole

08 August 2020

TYSERS Yamaha’s Rory Skinner has grabbed his first pole position of 2020 in dominant fashion by 0.311 from Jamie Perie and James Westmoreland at Donington Park.

It was Skinner who took the early lead of the session, with Currie and Perie both swapping places whilst battling with Westmoreland to catch the Scotsman at the top of the pile.

The Tysers Yamaha man held his place at the top of the standings all session, but as the rest of the field continued to improve on their times as they went in pursuit, Skinner went out for one final lap.

He improved in time once again to increase his lead over Jamie Perie to take his first pole position of 2020, with James Westmoreland rounding out the front row.

Tom Topris will start the opening race from fourth, Alistair Seeley is fifth with Ben Currie sixth. Skinner’s teammate Brad Jones will start from seventh.
