Simon Reid will return to the Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship this season after announcing a new partnership with the Quattro Plant Group.
Reid debuted in the Championship in 2019 and last season had his strongest campaign to date, fighting for podium positions and securing top five finishes to finish ninth in last year’s championship standings as he now looks to come back stronger when the season gets underway next month.
Reid said: “I learnt a lot last year and I can't wait to get back on track. I have continuity, as I will be riding my Yamaha R6 with the same team and crew chief Charlie from Kickstart Motorcycles, so it will be great to have that familiarity which will give me confidence.
“I'm so pleased to welcome the support from the Quattro Group. It’s a dream going forward and to have such passionate people that have supported racing for so long to believe in me. I've worked hard through the winter and I'm really motivated - I know I can do a good job. I have to thank my team and all my sponsors for sticking by me and putting me on the grid this year.”
Adam Richardson, Quattro Group, commented: “Quattro Plant has actively been involved within the Bennetts British Superbike Championship for almost a decade, and this season are a series sponsor and event sponsor for three of the rounds.
“Our routes and heart is with young riders that look like they have the abilities to come up the ranks. As an Irish English company, it seemed right to help Simon, who follows in his father, Brian’s, footsteps and we think he will benefit from our support. We are now looking forward to seeing how he progresses during the season.”
