The second Molson Group British Sidecar race was a last lap thriller as Reeves and Rousseau grab victory. It was the Holden/Lowther outfit who led the way at the end of the opening lap, but Reeves and Rousseau were soon through, taking the lead on lap three with Ellis and Richardson holding second. As the race reached the final stages, Ellis/Richardson were able to squeeze their way past Reeves, however the former champions were able to fight back, re-taking the lead on the penultimate lap.
Trading places throughout the final lap, it came down to the drag to the line, seeing Reeves take victory ahead of Ellis, with Stevens and Allum completing the podium in third.
