As the countdown to next month’s opening round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship continues, Oulton Park will be the next stop on the teams’ testing schedule with the next Official Test presented by R&G taking place at the Cheshire circuit on Wednesday 19 May.
Following the opening two Official Tests at Silverstone and Snetterton, the championship heads to Oulton Park for the penultimate event in the Test Tour schedule, as the teams and riders focus on making their final preparations for the opening races.
Glenn Irwin led the pack at Silverstone with the Honda Racing rider edging out Tarran Mackenzie and Danny Kent, whilst VisionTrack Ducati’s Christian Iddon topped the times in the combined sessions at Snetterton last week.
The final two official tests at Oulton Park (19 May) and Donington Park (8 June) will see the welcome return of a very limited number of spectators, with tickets only available to purchase in advance for £12 for adults, with a reduced price for young teenagers.
Please note that all spectators attending will need to be in possession of an event ticket due to current test and trace requirements. Relevant MSV Season pass holders have been factored into capacity limits and will not be required to pre-register their attendance – they can simply present their pass on arrival at the gate.
All of the official tests will feature live timing throughout the day with further updates available across social media channels. The tests will also feature sessions from the support race classes, with track action commencing at 9am and the chequered flag on the final session of the day at 5pm.
