The McAMS Yamaha team had a Bennetts British Superbike Championship warm up session of highs and lows this morning at Donington Park as Jason O'Halloran regained the position at the top of the times as teammate Tarran Mackenzie crashed out.
O’Halloran had surged back to the top of the times in the closing stages of the 10-minute session, putting him 0.152s ahead of yesterday’s race one winner Andrew Irwin for Honda Racing with Josh Brookes just a further 0.180s adrift to post the third fastest time.
Kyle Ryde was back on track this morning, setting the fourth fastest time for Buildbase Suzuki, pipping Danny Buchan by 0.008s with Peter Hickman just 0.005s adrift of the Massingberd-Mundy Kawasaki ahead of him.
Santander Salt TAG Yamaha’s Jack Kennedy had a strong session in seventh ahead of Héctor Barberá and Tommy Bridewell, who had led the early stages of warm up. The pair setting the same lap time. Lee Jackson completed the top ten to nudge Christian Iddon into eleventh place ahead of Joe Francis and Alex Olsen.
Tarran Mackenzie had a difficult start to his day, a crash at Craner Curves leaving his McAMS Yamaha team with work to do before race two.
