Jack Kennedy will return to the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship in 2021 as the double champion bids to secure a third title after joining the DB Racing team.
The team will campaign Kennedy in the Supersport class alongside Luke Mossey in Bennetts BSB as he makes a switch back to the class where he secured back-to-back title victories in 2019 before joining the Bennetts BSB grid this year.
Kennedy said: “I'm back to fight for title number three in British Supersport but this time with a different team and manufacturer so I'm looking forward to the new era ahead. I’ve had success with nearly every other manufacturer in British Supersport so the challenge now is to do the same and put an unproven Supersport project with the Kawasaki 636 on top.
“Right now I'm excited by the new project ahead having secured my place on the grid with DB Race Services for 2021. Thanks to Dave Tyson for the opportunity and big thanks also to my loyal sponsors for sticking by me in these tough and uncertain times.
“My aim is to fight for the BSS title next season with the plan to return to SBK the following year. It is going to be an interesting championship with a lot of competition and close racing so I'm sure the fans will be in for a treat. I hope that we can have them all back next year as I've missed the atmosphere and the packed grandstands.”
