Dutch contender Jaimie van Sikkelerus and the MPM Routz Racing team will make their debut in the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship in 2021, after competing in the World Championship for the past three seasons.
van Sikkelerus and the team will campaign the Yamaha R6 next season, after a difficult season in 2020, which was hampered by injury following a training accident and the 23-year-old from Akersloot continues his recovery from a recent operation ahead of the new season.
The team are now working on preparations for their first test in the new year, ahead of the opening round of the season at Oulton Park in May.
van Sikkelerus said: "I’m really looking forward to competing in British Supersport with MPM ROUTZ Racing in 2021. It’s a great and strong championship with beautiful circuits and fantastic fans. I’m grateful to my sponsors and BSB for making this opportunity possible for me. We’re going to do everything we can to make it a strong BSB season with great battles on track."
