IN competition announces Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship line-up

25 March 2020

The IN Competition team have announced their line up for the 2020 Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship as Lewis Rollo remains with the team and is joined by David Allingham to campaign the Aprilia RSV4s.

Rollo remains with the team for a second consecutive season, following his 2019 campaign where he finished sixth in the overall standings, claiming a race win.

Allingham joins the team after seasons in the Supersport class finishing inside the top five and making his debut in the Bennetts BSB Championship last year.

Rollo said: “I’m really pleased to have signed with IN Competition/Aprilia for a second season; it's a chance I have never had before to stay with the same team and on the same bike.

“Last year, we showed that we could be strong and run at the front, but it is a very competitive arena and it’s not all about improving yourself each time but learning how others work around you. Every opportunity needs to be taken in such a close class. I learnt a lot last year from Ian Newton and the team, now it is my chance to convert that into more podiums and even more wins.”

Allingham said: “I am very excited to join the IN Competition/Aprilia team, I am equally looking forward to working with Ian Newton again as we have had previous success in the Aprilia RRV450 Championship in the early part of my racing career. Hopefully we can repeat that success in the Superstock 1000 Championship this year on an already proven package.”

Team Owner Ian Newton commented: “I have got an incredible team around me that I not only trust, but am reassured that we can have good success this year. I’m really glad Lewis will be with us for a second season and I have no doubt he will bring the drive and determination that he showed in 2019 to the table.

“Having worked alongside David and his previous team for many years I feel he has the knowledge, determination and talent to run at the front. Come rain or shine both riders will be very competitive."
