Franco Bourne has extended his lead at the top of the Honda British Talent Cup standings, with victory in the opening race at Snetterton. It was Bourne who was the early race leader, crossing the line at the end of the opening lap just 0.019s ahead of Charlie Farrer with Casey OO’Gorman in close contention in third. Bourne was able to extend his lead to 0.5 seconds by lap three, as O’Gorman moved up to second. Continuing his charge through the field, O’Gorman had then taken the lead on lap four.
With the leading four riders trading places throughout the race, Bourne was able to move back into the lead in the closing stages, where he was able to pull away to take victory by 1.9 seconds. Eddie O’Shea eventually finished second with Farrer completing the podium in third.
