Australian Lachlan Epis will line up for his first full season campaign in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship next season, after signing a new deal with the NP Motorcycles Lextek BMW team.

Epis made his debut in the championship in 2020 at the final round of the season at Brands Hatch with the team after experiences in the Supersport World Championship and the CEV and European Superstock 600 class after leaving domestic competition in Australia.

Epis said: “After standing in for the team at the final round of the Championship at Brands Hatch this year, I’m excited to be joining the NP Motorcycles Lextek BMW for a full season in 2021. I’m looking forward to training here in Australia before flying to England in March to start testing again with my guys. The goal will be to get comfortable on the bike and in the championship and start working away to the fight for the midfield and keep moving forward. I can’t wait to get going!”

Team owner Neil Pearson commented: “I am really glad to have Lachlan back in the team for next year to work on what we started at Brands Hatch when he stepped in. We are excited to see where he can come in this very competitive championship with more experience in the series next year. His appearance in the final races of the season this year opened his eyes to how hard this championship is, but he is relishing the challenge. We will have more news soon to a possible teammate as we plan to expand to a two-rider team next season.”
