Buchan leads O’Halloran and Ray as Datatag Qualifying beckons at Oulton Park

Danny Buchan topped the final Bennetts British Superbike Championship free practice session at Oulton Park this morning, holding off Jason O'Halloran and Bradley Ray to maintain his position at the top of the times throughout the session ahead of Datatag Qualifying.

Buchan had set the benchmark earlier in the session and continued to up his pace to keep the Rapid Fulfillment FS-3 Kawasaki at the top of the times at the chequered flag; keeping an advantage of 0.455s at the end of free practice two.

O’Halloran had set the pace yesterday for McAMS Yamaha and he held onto the second position, just 0.009s ahead of Ray, who had a strong session for SYNETIQ BMW.

Christian Iddon was fourth fastest for VisionTrack Ducati, the fourth different manufacturer in the top five, as he stayed ahead of Luke Mossey on the Rich Energy OMG Racing BMW.

Tommy Bridewell was sixth fastest, after running in the top three earlier in the session, as the Oxford Products Racing Ducati rider finished ahead of Kyle Ryde and Andrew Irwin for Buildbase Suzuki and Honda Racing respectively.

Josh Brookes was ninth on the second of the VisionTrack Ducatis ahead of Peter Hickman, who completed the top ten for Global Robots BMW.
