The Bennetts British Superbike Championship grid will feature a new rider this weekend (October 16/17/18) when 20-year-old Australian Lachlan Epis will join the NP Motorcycles BMW team for the final races of the season.
Epis joins the championship from outings in the Supersport World Championship and previously from the CEV and European Superstock 600 class after seasons racing at home in Australia.
Epis said: “I am really excited to be teaming up with NP Motorcycles for the final round of BSB this weekend at Brands Hatch. Being able to test myself in the toughest domestic championship is something I’m looking forward to.
“The goal is the get up to speed with the team and BMW on Tuesday at Donington Park before heading to Brands Hatch. Having never raced in BSB I don’t know what to expect results wise, but I’m focused on getting the best results possible for the team and enjoying getting back on a Superbike after having raced in World Supersport for most of the year. I can’t wait!”
