Nikki Coates kicked Sunday off in the best way possible as he beat Jack Tynan over the line in this morning’s eight lap Sprint.
From the second row, the LDC BMW by Frimley Pits Racing rider got a flying start to hit the front before the end of the opening lap with polesitter Kieran Smith in hot pursuit.
From there, Coates controlled the race as points leader Barry Burrell went slowly backwards and ROKiT Rookie Jack Tynan came to the fore, closing in on the leader in the final laps.
Tynan made a move and hit the front at the end of the penultimate lap but Coates wasn’t having it and came back through to storm to the line ahead. Bobby Varey was third with Smith fourth and Burrell fifth.
