Ray remains ahead in Free Practice 2 at TT Circuit Assen

Bradley Ray remained on top of the British Superbike Championship Free Practice times in the second session as the McAMS Yamaha rider continued to hold off the opposition ahead of Pre-Qualifying at the TT Circuit Assen.

Scott Redding again held second place for the Hager PBM Racing Team as he moved ahead of Leon Haslam in the final minutes of the session, whilst championship leader Kyle Ryde held fourth place.

Joe Talbot continued his impressive rookie season with a fifth place to be the leading AJN Steelstock bimota, with his teammate Max Cook just 0.241s behind him to complete the top six riders.

Glenn Irwin was seventh fastest on the second of the Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing Ducatis with Jason O'Halloran just 0.001s ahead of Rory Skinner for eighth place. The Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha rider had a small crash, but was able to return to action in the session.

Ilya Mikhalchik completed the top ten for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad British Superbike Race team, but it was another tough session for Honda Racing UK’s Ryan Vickers as he crashed out of the session after suffering a technical problem in the opening Free Practice.
