Ben Currie looked to be back on form this morning as he led the opening practice session at Assen.
The McAMS Yamaha rider, who returned to action at Cadwell Park after sustaining injuries in a crash at Oulton Park in late July, took early charge this morning with a best lap of 1min 47.650secs around the Dutch track.
Oliver Barr was the second quickest as the flag fell, ending the session 0.042secs behind Currie.
Honda Racing UK’s Jack Kennedy clocked the third best lap, 0.337secs faster than title rival and points leader Luke Stapleford who was fourth, as Carter Brown rounded out the top five.
