Vickers aiming to carry podium momentum to TT Circuit Assen

17 September 2026

Ryan Vickers claimed his second double victory in the ZYN British Superbike Championship last time out at Cadwell Park and the Honda Racing UK contender is now determined to carry that momentum into the opening Showdown round at the TT Circuit Assen this weekend (September 18/19/20).

Vickers has been on the podium in five of the last six races, with double wins at both Thruxton and Cadwell Park. Now arriving at the TT Circuit Assen, he is determined to maintain their impressive form in recent rounds in their quest to climb the standings.

Vickers said: “Cadwell Park was amazing. It was amazing to get the double win on Sunday at Honda’s home round and at one of my favourite tracks even though, honestly, probably it’s one of the tracks that haunts my good results the most! I’ve probably been the fastest at that track for quite a few years and had really bad luck and made quite a few mistakes, so it was really nice to put that behind me and come out with a double win. It feels like I’ve ticked off a big part within myself and my career and that sets us in a really good place.

“We’ve got really good momentum going into the Showdown and Assen is a circuit that I love. I first rode there on a Superbike in 2019 before we went through the COVID years and lost the circuit for quite a few years. It’s one that I’ve always enjoyed. I raced there last year in the World Championship and it was really nice to go back there as it’s a circuit that I like a lot.

“I look forward to riding the Honda there and I’m sure we’ll be able to do a good job. It will be interesting to see where we fair up compared to the others, but I’m sure we’ll be in the fight for the podium and the win so I’m looking forward to it and hopefully we can come away with some good points.”
