Haslam hunting victory on return to TT Circuit Assen

17 September 2026

Leon Haslam leads the way in British Superbike Championship race wins at the TT Circuit Assen, and as the Showdown kicks off this weekend, he is determined to claim his first victory of 2026 for the Moto Rapido Racing team.

Haslam was back on the podium at Cadwell Park and having celebrated success at the Dutch circuit on five occasions and also podium finishes in the World Championship, the ‘Pocket Rocket’ is ready to battle for top honours again this weekend.

Haslam said: “Cadwell Park, three top-fives and another podium, so not all bad. I think we were the second highest scorer compared to Kyle with Brad and Ryan both crashing so all in all I can’t be disappointed. I felt like we had good pace and I felt like we had a good rhythm. We was trying a lot of big things over the weekend and we didn’t get the best of starts, so Cadwell is really tough and you can get the holeshot and win a race and not be the fastest guy on track, and you can be rolling around in ninth. It’s a tough one Cadwell but not unhappy with it.

“Assen for me, I had a great two races there last year, we battled for wins until the last lap and we had a couple of podiums, so I’m looking forward to it. I’ve had a lot of wins around there in BSB and podiums in the World Championship so there’s a lot of history with the family. It’s one of my favourite circuits and we need to get a win this year.”
