Pirelli National Superstock Championship: Mossey beats Allingham as Hutchinson returns to the podium

04 October 2026

Luke Mossey beat his championship rival David Allingham with a penultimate lap move in the second Superstock race of the weekend.

Meanwhile, Ian Hutchinson made an impressive return to a national podium as he crossed the line third on his own machinery.

Following his win in yesterday’s race, Allingham was looking to double up today – but despite a flying start, was unable to shake off Mossey, who sat behind him for the whole race.

With one lap to go, Mossey made a similar move to the one Allingham made on him yesterday, diving down the inside into the Loop and sitting up the SMS/Nicholl Oils BMW rider.

And despite running wide into Goddards, Allingham wasn’t close enough to sneak back through and was forced to follow the Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycle’s rider to the line.

Behind, Hutchinson had remained right on the back of the leading pair throughout the race.

Although he never got close enough to Mossey or Allingham to try a move, he finished in a strong third place to make a welcome return to a national level podium – in just his third outing this year. Josh Owens crossed the line fourth with Declan Connell fifth.

With Mossey and Allingham taking a win and a second place apiece this weekend, there’s no change in the points and Allingham will carry his 42 point lead into the final round.
