Joe Talbot ended his rookie season in the ZYN British Superbike Championship by celebrating a debut podium finish with the AJN Steelstock bimota team, also adding the R&G Rising Stars Award to his achievements in his first full season in Superbike.
Talbot delivered a mature performance in the final race of the season at Brands Hatch to take third place in difficult conditions to celebrate his first podium finish in ZYN BSB.
Talbot said: “I am really happy to go into the winter with a trophy to take home! I don’t know how I stayed on to be honest as I was out of the seat more times than I was in it! We haven’t had much wet running, certainly not as wet as that, so it was always going to be a gamble with the set-up.
“Overall the AJN Steelstock bimota team have been amazing with me this year, I have learnt so much, and this podium is for them, as I can’t thank them enough. We are now looking forward to seeing what we can do next season.”
