Ryan Vickers had already confirmed his place on the 2027 ZYN British Superbike Championship grid with Honda Racing UK and now with the full team line-up announced today (Monday) at EICMA, the countdown begins to the 2027 campaign.
Vickers returned to ZYN BSB this season and together with Honda Racing UK they continued to build momentum throughout the season, celebrating five victories and ten podium finishes to secure fourth place in the final standings. Looking towards the new era of ZYN BSB next season, Vickers is ready to come out fighting in a bid for his first BSB title.
Vickers said: “I’m really happy personally to be continuing with Honda for 2027. We conducted a very successful first year together considering all of the hurdles we had to cross in trying to make the bike better in a very competitive class.
“I’m really proud of what myself and Honda Racing UK were able to achieve this year and being able to continue with them for another year is a fantastic thing for me to look forward to. I really enjoyed working with Jason O’Halloran as a teammate and we had a good year, I wish him all the best in the future.
“Joining me for 2027 will be Kyle Ryde, I’m really looking forward to working with him again, we were teammates back in 2024. Kyle is a guy I really get on with and he’s a fast rider so I think he’ll be great in terms of the project of developing the bike. Having riders on board that are striving to win the championship is what Honda needs, Dean jumping on the superbike is only going to benefit Honda as well. It’ll drive his roads development and give him maximum seat time on the new bike ahead of the TT races, but having three fast riders on the grid in BSB on this new bike will only improve development time as well.
“I think we have a really strong team and it’s clear that Honda are pushing to succeed. I can’t wait to get my hands on the new bike, which appears to have been developed around specific racing requirements and with more focus on what’s needed to win championships.
“It’s exciting to be part of a team like ours at a time like this, I’m proud to have been trusted with the responsibility of delivering results for Honda Racing and I really do believe we’ll be able to achieve our goals next season.”
