Lucas Brown will head the grid for today’s Supersport season-opener after beating former champ Ben Currie to pole.
The MSG Racing Suzuki rider clocked a hot lap of 1min 38.902secs in qualifying, to claim the top spot ahead of this afternoon’s Sprint race at Oulton Park.
Currie, who has switched to Yamaha power with the McAMS outfit this year, will start second on the grid after ending the session 0.342secs adrift, while Jack Kennedy will round out the front row aboard the Honda Racing UK machine.
SENCAT by Swan Racing’s Lee Johnston will lead Row Two, with Oliver Barr next to him in fifth.
Adam Hartgrove was the class of the field in the Cup, qualifying p14 overall. Cam Swain was the second quickest of the Cup runners, with James Alderson third.
