Ryde retaliates with race two win at Donington Park

17 May 2026

Kyle Ryde retaliated in the second ZYN British Superbike Championship race of the weekend at Donington Park, taking on his rivals Scott Redding and Max Cook to return to the top step of the podium at his home circuit for the Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing team.

Redding had hit the front of the pack on the opening lap ahead of Cook and Christian Iddon on the Sencat Racing Yamaha, but the defending champion had just 12 laps to move ahead and he first dived down the inside of Cook at Redgate on lap three.

Redding was pushing hard as the pace continued to intensify and on lap five he made a small error at Goddards, which gave Ryde the opportunity to make a move to capture the lead of the race.

Ryde was able to hold off Redding with an advantage at the chequered flag ahead of Redding and Cook with Ray claiming fourth place for McAMS Yamaha.

Leon Haslam won the battle for fourth, with Skinner, Iddon and Glenn Irwin embroiled in a battle in the next pack, whilst Storm Stacey and Danny Kent completed the top ten.
