Nikki Coates and Bobby Varey will take a pole apiece for tomorrow’s Heat races after ending qualifying first and second respectively.
Coates edged out his rival by a mere 0.079secs in this evening’s session with a hot lap of 1min 36.707secs, as Kieran Smith beat brother Christian to third place by 0.388secs.
Thomas Strudwick was fifth to take third on the grid in the first heat as last year’s series runner up will start from third in Heat Two after setting the sixth best lap.
