The ZYN British Superbike Championship reaches Donington Park this weekend (May 15/16/17) with the Kyle Ryde and Leon Haslam ready to kick off the turf war at their home circuit; however, their rivals will be determined to overhaul the home heroes.
Haslam had a lightning start to this 2026 campaign with a hat trick of second places at Oulton Park for the Moto Rapido Racing team and is feeling confident heading into his home round, as he bids to return to the top step of the podium.
Haslam said: “For me Oulton Park was obviously a good start with three second places. We had only got the bike a literally a matter of days before and we threw a standard set up on it and we managed to improve the bike in Race one, which was the first time I’d done more than 10 laps in a row since October! So actually challenging and taking the lead with a few laps to go in the last race means I’m feeling pretty confident.
“It’s the home race next for me now at Donington Park. Obviously, we know the Yamaha with Brad, as well as Kyle and Scott go well there, so I feel there will be a few more in the mix, but it gives us another opportunity to progress with this new Ducati and try to get on that top step of the podium.”
