DAO Racing reveal 2026 livery ahead of opening R&G Official Test

31 March 2026

DAO Racing has revealed its striking new livery ahead of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship with Josh Brookes and Lee Jackson ready to get back on track this week.

With subtle, yet striking differences, to the colour scheme for the upcoming season, DAO Racing are now set to continue the testing programme ahead of the opening round of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park (May 2/3/4).

The team has already completed a positive four days on track in Spain, with two separate tests completed at Monteblanco and Andalucía, and both riders are feeling confident ahead of the start of official testing at Donington Park on April 3/4.

Brookes said: “We’re in the middle of a testing programme which is two-fold, one with our engine development, which has been altered this year to try and improve the rideability, so we’ll be continuing with that, and we’ll also be working on areas of the chassis.

“There was a defined base setting that I had last year, and anytime we tried anything to alter the bike or step away from that set-up we always did a U-turn and went back to what we had.

“The set-ups that we tried in Spain showed some potential in a different line of thought; it’s not outside of the normal window, or extreme, but for us it’s a side step from where we normally run the bike. So we need to see that through and assess how it works on different circuits, circuits that we’ll race on throughout the year.”

Jackson said: “I’m really looking forward to getting back out on the bike at Donington Park, we obviously got the year underway in Spain with four good days on track with the crew and I’m ready to get back to work.

“We confirmed the direction that we want to go in, and that gives us a head start ahead of the official test. I’m hopeful the weather will be kind to us so we can continue our progress and tune in our package to what I want ahead of the start of the season.

“I want to have a consistent base set-up, something that we don’t have to change too much throughout the year, and I think after the two official tests we’ll not be far away from that.

“The bike looks fantastic for 2026, the small changes the team have made to the livery makes a big difference and I’m sure everyone will like it when they see it in the flesh at the official tests.”

Team manager Jonny Bagnall: “We’re really excited to launch our 2026 colours, Sommai and Clarrisa asked for the livery to be changed, but subtly, for this season. The bike is in its traditional DAO Racing colours, which incorporates the Honda look, and I’m pleased that the owners really like it, that’s important.

“The bike will be in full colour at the first official test at Donington Park, which we’re really looking forward to. We’ve still a few more things to try with the bikes and a few more test items to go through, and it’ll be interesting to try them on a circuit we’ll be racing at, and see the results of, in preparation for the opening round of the season, which is just around the corner.”
