MPR Racing completes Pirelli British Sportbike line-up with Canadian rising star Hardwick

16 March 2026

MPR Racing has announced the signing of Canadian contender Ben Hardwick for the 2026 Pirelli British Sportbike Championship; the rider from Sudbury, Northern Ontario will join Lucca Allen in the team riding the Suzuki GSX-8R.

Hardwick previously competed in the R&G British Talent Cup and previously raced in the FIM MiniMoto Austria Series.

For 2026, Hardwick will take a major step forward in his career as he graduates to the Pirelli National Sportbike class, with MPR Racing. He will join teammate, who competed in the MotoAmerica Supersport Series in 2025, forming a dynamic and competitive rider pairing for the upcoming campaign.

Hardwick said: "I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join MPR Racing. Moving up to the Sportbike class is a big step, and doing it with such a supportive and competitive team means a lot. I can’t wait to get started on the GSX-8R and work alongside Lucca as we push for strong results in 2026."

Team Manager David Howard commented: "Bringing Ben into the team is a fantastic moment for us. His talent is clear, and his attitude is exactly what we look for in a rider. Pairing him with Lucca gives us a line-up capable of pushing at the front from day one. I’m genuinely excited to work with both riders and see what we can achieve together this season."
