Andrew Irwin undergoes successful surgery after testing crash

09 June 2026

Andrew Irwin is beginning rehabilitation after a successful surgery on a broken right humerus following a crash during a test at Knockhill. The MET fonaCAB Racing rider has already started his road to recovery, but will remain sidelined from ZYN British Superbike Championship action.

Irwin and the MET fonaCAB Racing team had been building momentum during their debut season and were determined to continue their progress at the next races at Knockhill, before he sustained the injury whilst testing for the forthcoming event.

The MET fonaCAB Racing team will make an announcement regarding a replacement rider in due course ahead of the Knockhill round (June 19/20/21).
