Bradley Ray and McAMS Yamaha opened Super Scottish Saturday at Knockhill by topping the final ZYN British Superbike Championship Free Practice session ahead of Pre-Qualifying, holding off Scott Redding by 0.084s.
In dry conditions and in complete contrast to yesterday, Glenn Irwin held the advantage until the closing six minutes when Ray went to the top of the times, with a time that would hold off his rivals to the chequered flag.
Redding and Kyle Ryde completed the top three, easing Glenn Irwin into fourth. Meanwhile it was a strong session for Christian Iddon as he had been running inside the top three before finishing fifth on the Sencat Racing Yamaha.
Rory Skinner moved up to seventh place in the closing moments, just ahead of Ryan Vickers and yesterday’s pace-setter Josh Brookes. Storm Stacey was ninth, despite a technical problem ending his session prematurely, whilst Charlie Nesbitt completed the top ten.
