SMR Performance, the UK’s BMW Motorrad Motorsport Official Partner has stepped in to support Pirelli National Superstock Championship contender Scott Swann.
Swann will ride an SMR Performance prepared and supported BMW M 1000 RR for the remainder of the 2026 Pirelli National Superstock Championship season, starting this weekend at Oulton Park.
Swann arrives in Cheshire this weekend holding fifth place in the standings, having delivered his own campaign so far this season, supported by his personal sponsors. The highlight of the season so far was when he secured victory at Knockhill, which he plans to add to with the new support and onboard the fully supported SMR Performance BMW M 1000 RR.
Swann said: “We've had a challenging year so far, having started so late with our own private team, effectively working out of the back of a van with my Dad, from literally days before the first race. But, I’m pleased with what we’ve achieved despite the challenges and when the call came in from Shaun to ride a BMW for him, I was super-excited.
“SMR has invested in me for the rest of the 2026 season and with the very best bike combined with the levels of support required to run it, I’m confident that I can mount a serious second half championship challenge. I’ve ridden the bike already and it felt great from the very first laps. Now we need to get our heads down and build from here. I’m super committed and exceedingly grateful to Shaun and Lewis for backing me like this – thank you!”
