Points leader Luke Stapleford set out his stall for the weekend ahead as he powered to the fastest lap in this morning’s first practice session.
The Scars-Racing Ducati rider clocked a best lap of 1min 50.987secs, putting himself 0.381secs clear of Honda Racing UK’s Jack Kennedy.
Oli Bayliss, fresh from his first British championship race win at Knockhill a fortnight ago, was also straight back among the frontrunners as he ended the session third quickest.
Ben Currie, who currently sits second in the championship standings, seven points adrift of Stapleford, rounded out FP1 fourth fastest, with Oliver Barr fifth.
Jamie Richmond was the leader in the Cup class, clocking the 15th best time of the session, as Adam Hartgrove emerged second in class with James Alderson third.
