Jack Kennedy took charge in this afternoon’s second Supersport free practice session as he led Luke Stapleford at the top of the timesheets.
But the Honda Racing UK rider’s fastest lap was still down on Stapleford’s time from this morning, giving the points leader bragging rights at the end of the first day.
Oliver Barr led for much of the second session and was leading the way as the final five minutes got underway.
However, he was soon knocked down to second as Kennedy put in a 1min 28.357sec lap with just under three minutes remaining.
Moments later, Stapleford also stuck in a quick one to move into second place and dropping Barr down to third.
But no times could match Stapleford’s hot lap from this morning and Kennedy’s lap was still slower than his FP1 effort, leaving Stapleford leading overnight by just 0.001s over Kennedy.
Barr held onto third thanks to his FP2 lap with Ben Currie fourth and Dean Harrison fifth.
In the Cup, Adam Hartgrove continued to lead as most of the class upped the pace and went faster than this morning. James Alderson was second with Keo Walker third.
