Skinner building momentum with Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha

01 July 2026

Rory Skinner is determined to build on his best results of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship season last time out at Knockhill, with two top five finishes leaving the Scottish contender feeling positive about the return to Norfolk this weekend.

Skinner claimed his best result of the season at his home round of Knockhill, but the Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha rider is hopeful that the team can continue their positive progression this weekend. Last season, Skinner was a podium finisher with the team and he is hoping that history can repeat itself this weekend.

Skinner said: “It was nice to come out of Knockhill with two season best results so far, again it is not where I want to be, however it is nice to see some improvement and I am learning more about riding the Yamaha R1 every race weekend. I am coming away from every race weekend feeling a bit more knowledgeable about the bike and I think the team is as well, so it is going in the right direction, just not quite as quickly as what we would have hoped.

“Snetterton last year was a good weekend for me. I was on the podium and on the front row as well, so I am looking forward to going back there with a full weekend of good weather, which will be very beneficial for us, as we have some new things to try with the bike to get me feeling even more comfortable. I am looking forward to seeing what progression we can make at Snetterton; I think it is going to be an exciting weekend. It is obviously going to be tough like the rest so far this year, however we definitely made a step at Knockhill and we can hopefully continue that moving on to Snetterton.”
