30 January 2026

Powerslide Racing has announced Cameron Dawson will complete their line up in the Pirelli British Sportbike Championship this season as he joins Asher Durham, Finn Smart-Weeden and Brodie Gawith in the team to campaign the Suzuki GSX-8R.

Dawson has celebrated success in the British Junior Supersport Championship and finished runner-up in the Pirelli Junior Superstock Championship before moving into the Quattro Group British Supersport class, which was hampered by injury. The Northern Irish rider returned in the Sportbike class for the final four rounds of the season, claiming top ten finishes.

Dawson said: “I’m super excited to join forces with Powerslide motorcycles Suzuki for the 2026 campaign, for me I believe this is a step in the right direction to prove we still have what it takes to fight for a second British championship. I can’t thank Brad, Dave and Dale enough for this opportunity and I’m really looking forward to beginning our journey together and aim for it to be successful.”

Dave Tyson, Team Manager, Powerslide Racing, commented: “We are very pleased to welcome Cam to the team. After Henry decided to step away from racing, it was always going to be a tough seat to fill, however I’m very pleased that Cam is joining the team.

“Cam is a two times British Champion and is another amazing talent to be part of the Powerslide team so we can’t wait to get him started on the Suzuki GSX-8R. This means we are back to full strength and with Asher, Finn and Brodie alongside, we have some great riders who can challenge for the title.”

Brad Clarke, Team Owner, Powerslide Racing, concluded: “It is great to have another talented rider in the team and its shows the interest in the Suzuki GSX-8R after a great first year with it in 2025. This really proves the work we have done as team to develop the Suzuki and now we have the chance to win our first championship as a Suzuki Official Team.”
