David Allingham will be back to fight for the 2026 Pirelli National Superstock Championship title this season, returning with the SMS/Nicholl Oils BMW Race Team as he bids for the title after finishing runner-up last year.
Allingham celebrated nine podium finishes on his way to second in the title chase last season and now he is aiming to come back even stronger when the 2026 campaign gets underway at Oulton Park on the May Bank Holiday weekend (2/3/4 May).
Allingham said: “I am excited to re-sign with the SMS/Nicholl Oils BMW Race Team for the 2026 season. I’m really grateful for the opportunity and a lot goes into making this happen; I’m excited to keep building and see what we can do together. The team is also the officially supported BMW customer team in Superstock, so the aim is obviously to keep BMW at the top of this championship this year.
“I can’t thank Steven McShane and Gary Nicholl enough to give this local kid from Eglinton a chance to fulfil his dream of riding motorcycles, it is just amazing. I am looking forward to get back spinning laps and learn more, we are aiming to go one better this year!”
