ASTRO-JJR HIPPO Suzuki announce Hardie for 2026 Quattro Group British Supersport Championship

10 February 2026

ASTRO-JJR HIPPO Suzuki has announced Mikey Hardie as their first rider to join the team for the 2026 Quattro Group British Supersport Championship ahead of the opening round at Oulton Park (2/3/4 May).

Hardie joins the team and will reunite with his chief mechanic Paul “Tommo” Thompson for the forthcoming season, as he aims to build on his previous performances within the series.

Hardie said: “I’m really looking forward to getting started with Astro JJR Hippo, as they’re a well-established team in the championship with a great reputation and many years of valuable experience. Our initial dealings with Stu, James and the team, along with the staff at Hippo have been great. They all have a huge passion for bike racing and their ambition in the sport matches mine perfectly.

“I will get to ride the bike for the first time in Spain in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait to swing my leg over it and to get this season rolling. Thanks to Stu and James at Astro JJR and to Gareth and Harry at Hippo for making me feel so welcome and giving me this amazing opportunity.”
