R&G Moto4 British Cup: Frost doubles up as top seven covered by just 0.973s in race two!

Ryan Frost fought to victory after another titanic battle in the second R&G Moto4 British Cup race of the weekend at the MotoGP event at Silverstone, maintaining his lead in the standings for the Fibre Tec Honda-By MLav Racing team with a 12 rider lead pack in contention for the win.

At the start of the race, Jack Dunabie launched into the lead for the Kovara Projects/RS Racing team, but Mason Foster then grabbed the advantage. The pack continued to shuffle and Frost held the edge before Foster reclaimed the positon.

Foster was pushing to hold off his rivals, but soon Dunabie had recaptured the lead, but again it was only briefly as Marco Holt then seized the opportunity to launch into the front of the pack for the City Lifting/RS Racing team.

The lead continued to change with a leading pack of 12 riders and at the halfway point of the race, Frost had again moved ahead, but Dunabie was piling on the pressure with Alex Remesal on the Fibre Tec Honda-By MLav Racing also in the mix.

Dunabie then was back in the lead ahead, before Holt again made a move to hit the front of the field. Frost again fought back and the race again went down to the wire on the final lap.

Holt had started the final lap leading from Humphries, Remesal and Dunabie with Frost holding fifth, but the championship leader wrestled his way to the front to secure victory by just 0.035s from Holt, as Dunabie snatched the final podium position.
