The Whitecliffe CDH Racing Honda team has announced that Joe Sheldon-Shaw will return at Thruxton this weekend (August 14/15/16) as Luke Hedger continues his recovery from injuries sustained at work.
Sheldon Shaw returned to the ZYN BSB grid at Oulton Park to deputise for Hedger, claiming two top 20 finishes, after a last minute call-up from the team. Now he is back for the second consecutive round and determined to build on their initial performance last time out.
Sheldon Shaw said: “I am really happy with my performance at Oulton Park. To say I haven’t ridden a Superbike in five years and had less than 24 hours notice I think having three regular BSB riders behind us on the grid after qualifying was job done straight away.
“To be able to continue into Thruxton is a dream come true, especially because a week ago I didn’t even have a ride in the British Championship. I obviously want to wish Luke a speedy recovery and I will enjoy every second of the time I have left on the bike. Thank you everyone who has made this achievable.”
