Ryan Frost claimed the opening race victory in the R&G Moto4 British Cup at the MotoGP round at Silverstone, emerging on top after a nine rider battle for supremacy that went down to the wire.
At the start of the race, Jack Dunabie grabbed the advantage at the start from pole-sitter Harrison Day and Tyler Humphries. However, the frantic race then had Humphries take the lead for the Fibre Tec Honda-By MLav Racing team.
Dunabie regained the advantage for the Kovara Projects/RS Racing team, with Humphries and then Alex Remesal was into third.
A lap later, Humphries had stormed back ahead with championship leader Frost soon into second place as the positions continued to shuffle throughout the race.
Frost was able to lead the pack on multiple occasions and led on the penultimate lap, but on the final lap, he had dropped to fifth place and then had a battle on to regain the advantage, which he did by the chequered flag.
Dunabie secured second as he held off Fitchett to the line with Tyler Humphries and Marco Holt completing the top five. Mason Foster, Alex Remesal, George Bowes and Harrison Day completed the battle in the lead group.
