Thruxton thriller awaits in ZYN BSB

07 August 2026

The ZYN British Superbike Championship heads to Thruxton for the seventh round of the 2026 title fight next weekend (August 14/15/16) for the fastest round on the calendar.

The high-speed Hampshire circuit has been a happy hunting ground for Yamaha in recent seasons, with Yamaha riders celebrating 15 consecutive race wins at Thruxton, with the last non-Yamaha win coming from Andrew Irwin and Honda Racing UK in 2019.

Kyle Ryde leads title chase for Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing ahead of closest rivals Scott Redding and Bradley Ray with Leon Haslam returning to the podium last time out ahead of the Moto Rapido Racing team’s home round.

Max Cook will be aiming to give the AJN Steelstock bimota and the home crowd something to cheer about as he targets his first win in the championship.

However, known for the sensational slip-stream action, Ryan Vickers will be also chasing his first podium with Honda Racing UK with Rory Skinner and Christian Iddon also having high hopes of their best result of the season at a track that is notoriously strong for the Yamaha R1.
