Vickers victorious again to take race two glory

31 August 2026

Ryan Vickers was victorious in the second ZYN British Superbike Championship race of the weekend at Cadwell Park, bouncing back in fine form from his crash yesterday to claim his third win of the season for Honda Racing UK at their home round.

Vickers launched off the line into the lead on the opening lap, with Rory Skinner, Bradley Ray and Kyle Ryde locked in behind him. However, Skinner was unable to repeat his race one victory when he crashed out of contention on lap five at Charlies.

Vickers meanwhile was holding strong at the front, despite the constant pressure from Ray behind him in second place. He held the edge to the chequered flag by 0.282s to hold off the McAMS Yamaha contender with Ryde back on the podium in third place for Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing.

Leon Haslam had been constantly holding off the chasing pack for fourth place for the Moto Rapido Racing team with Joe Talbot claiming his first top five finish in his rookie season for the AJN Steelstock bimota team.

Jason O'Halloran was sixth for Honda Racing UK, holding off the second AJN Steelstock bimota of Max Cook and Lee Jackson on the leading DAO Racing Honda. Scott Redding was ninth for the Hager PBM Racing Team ahead of Danny Kent on the remaining Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha.
