Ryan Vickers celebrated a double victory in the ZYN British Superbike Championship at Thruxton and arrives at Cadwell Park pushing to carry the momentum into Honda Racing UK’s home round.
Vickers delivered his first podium finish of the season in the opening race, which he followed up with a double victory. The Honda Racing UK team have celebrated plenty of podium success at their home round, something that they are determined to repeat this Bank Holiday weekend.
Vickers said: “Heading into Cadwell Park, I am extremely excited for the weekend as it is one of my favourite tracks. It has always been a strong track for me pace-wise; I have had strong showings of speed and results there, so I am really looking forward to it.
“Cadwell Park is almost a second home round for me now as I have moved to ten minutes away from where I live now so it is quite nice to have two home rounds! It’s also the team’s home round as Honda Racing UK are based just in Louth so I can’t wait to get started.
“Honda have had some great results there in the past and hopefully we can continue that form. It has a great atmosphere there and I love it for that and the fans being so close. I am super excited and let’s see if we can keep this run of form going. It is going to be a little more difficult, perhaps compared to Thruxton, but I think we can be in the fight for the podium. Let’s look forward to seeing what we can do.”
