Reigning champion Barry Burrell continued his strong run of form as the action began at Cadwell Park, storming to the top of the Free Practice timesheets substantially quicker than his rivals.
Burrell, who confirmed a fortnight ago he will see out the remainder of the season after initially only planning to do a handful of rounds, took the points lead last time out. He was back on top in today’s session with a 1min 34.535sec lap which put him 0.887secs clear of Christian Smith, who trails him by 23 points in the championship standings.
Kieran Smith ended the session p3 and just 0.025secs behind his twin brother with Nikki Coates fourth and Dale Thomas fifth.
