Mikhalchik set for Cadwell Park challenge

27 August 2026

Ilya Mikhalchik and the ROKiT BMW Motorrad British Superbike Race team are relishing the challenge of this weekend’s Bank Holiday round at Cadwell Park as they continue to make positive progress in their debut season together.

Mikhalchik and the team had a tougher weekend at Thruxton last time out, but are now ready to be back pushing for the top ten again at the Lincolnshire circuit, one that the Ukrainian celebrated success in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship last season.

Mikhalchik said: “I am looking forward to Cadwell Park. Thruxton was not really as good as it should have been considering we had potential to fight for good positions. We had technical issues, but it’s a technical sport and sometimes it happens. Now we are going to a special track and some special races and the target for me, I don’t want to set a high expectation, I just want to come into the race weekend with a calm head and just enjoy it. I want to be fighting with the guys and just try and do a good job.

“Try to focus on the last three rounds where all the tracks are close to what I like, especially Assen, and so the target is to do a good job without any issues. I think also the bike will be pretty okay at this track and we will also try to learn how to ride the superbike here. We want to show some good and positive progress again ready for the final part of the season.”
