Ray: “We can expect to be right in the fight”

26 August 2026

Bradley Ray is aiming for a winning repeat as the ZYN British Superbike Championship returns for the annual visit to Cadwell Park this August Bank Holiday weekend (August 29/30/31) as the McAMS Yamaha rider bids to close down his rivals in the standings.

Ray and the team have been building momentum, claiming podiums in five of the last six races at Oulton Park and Thruxton. Now heading to Cadwell Park, McAMS Yamaha remain in high spirits after a strong outing at Thruxton two weeks ago, when they claimed a pair of podium finishes, including narrowly missing out on the final victory of the weekend.

Ray’s last visit to Cadwell Park last season was a memorable one, claiming victory by a narrow margin of just 0.087 seconds over championship rival Kyle Ryde. Despite strong pace throughout, misfortune struck in the final two races after a Race 2 crash from the lead disrupted his form but he heads into the weekend with renewed determination, targeting a return to the front at one of his strongest venues.

Ray said: “I’m looking forward to Cadwell Park this weekend - I’ve had some great memories there, and it’s a track I’ve come to really enjoy over the years. We head into the weekend with a strong feeling on the bike, and our results over the last couple of rounds show the effort we’ve all put in behind the scenes to move the Yamaha R1 package forward.

“We’re feeling confident in our ability to fight at the front again and challenge for podiums and wins. We’ve made a step with the bike since our last visit there, so we can expect to be right in the fight across all three races. Looking forward to reuniting with the team and getting back to work before the points ramp up for the Showdown - it’s hard to believe it’s almost that time already
