Pirelli National Superstock Championship: Mossey wins after last lap drama

16 August 2026

Luke Mossey won today’s 15-lap Superstock race following a dramatic final lap which resulted in two riders being forced to drop positions.

Polesitter Scott Swann didn’t get the best start as points leader David Allingham shot off the line into the lead, with Carl Phillips in hot pursuit. Phillips hit the front on the third lap, followed by Mossey a lap later.

The Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles rider led the race until the penultimate lap when Matt Truelove hit the front and looked on course for his first Superstock win on his TAG Honda.

But it all went wrong at the very end as he made a tiny mistake which resulted in him cutting the course at the chicane to cross the line 1.16secs clear of Mossey. Behind, Scott Swann ran onto the green as he came home in third place.

But race direction quickly stepped in and ordered both Truelove and Swann to drop a position each for their last lap misdemeanours.

As a result, Mossey was declared winner with Truelove second, Allingham third, Swann fourth and Lewis Rollo fifth.
