Redding holds off Ryde in Free Practice three by 0.063s

Scott Redding topped the third and final ZYN British Superbike Championship Free Practice session at Thruxton, holding off fierce title rival Kyle Ryde by 0.063s at the chequered flag, with the top 11 riders covered by 0.933s ahead of ROKiT Oxygen Performance Qualifying.

Redding was able to hold the advantage in the closing stages of the session for the Hager PBM Racing Team, with the pace not matching the fastest times in Pre-Qualifying yesterday in the Hampshire heat.

Ryde held second ahead of Max Cook on the AJN Steelstock bimota, with Ryan Vickers back inside the top five in fourth place for Honda Racing UK ahead of Bradley Ray who completed the top five for McAMS Yamaha.

Storm Stacey was sixth fastest for the Bathams AJN Racing Ducati team as Leon Haslam was back inside the top ten in seventh place and 0.737s adrift of Redding’s session-topping lap.

Rory Skinner was eighth fastest for Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha ahead of Jason O'Halloran and Danny Kent who completed the top ten ahead of ROKiT Oxygen Performance Qualifying.
